Start your Growth Where you Currently Stand

 
Self-love is a beautiful concept! However, it can feel a bit overwhelming when the healing power of your heart is sealed away and your mind is filled with loathing thoughts that deplete your loving energy.

If you feel inner conflict from trying to reach that state of love. Let that shit go and start where you are. It is fine to start your quest for self-love at self- LIKE by building a friendship with yourself first.

Self-love is definitely not a one size fits all scenario where you can just hop into it like a comfy pair of pajamas. Sometimes, we need to go through a process to get there and THAT IS OKAY!

Think about it like this. If you haven’t exercised for years and stepped on a treadmill, you wouldn’t expect yourself to be able to run for an hour. You would start exactly at your current level of conditioning. You would begin with 5-10 minutes. Then work up to 10-20 minutes, then 20-30 and so forth, until you have the ability to exercise up to an hour.

So why would you put that pressure on yourself to go from self-loathing to self-love in a blink of an eye?

Begin the process of opening your heart where you feel comfortable and grow from there.

It may start with:

  • A little extra self-care
  • Spending some time alone
  • Being creative
  • Listening or reading uplifting books
  • Practicing meditation
  • Reciting Positive Affirmations
  • Journaling
  • Dancing
  • Walking daily
  • Earthing

And then when you are ready, start the discovery and acceptance process. Who are you truly in this moment? What is your purpose? Practice forgiveness (including yourself). Allow yourself to accept who you are!

Be consistent and take little steps every day. Be patient and compassionate, you are actually getting to really know yourself for the first time. Eventually, you will be immersed in the beautiful energy of liking who you are and then, you will be able to see yourself through the eyes of pure divine love!

Take it Day by Day

 
Today, decide to make small steps towards opening your heart. Forgiveness is a great place to start. If you are not ready to forgive others, start by forgiving yourself. If you are holding on to the shame or embarrassment about something that you did in the past, forgive yourself.

We all make mistakes. Internalizing the pain will not change the past. All you can do is learn from your history and make the necessary choices to influence your future.

Forgiveness Mantra & Visualization
Find a comfortable spot to lie down or sit inside your home. Place your Unakite crystal in the hand of choice, allow your intuition to guide you and place it over your heart. (Remember to cleanse and charge your stones before use.)

Close your eyes. Breathe in Deeply. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Do this a couple of times until you feel relaxed.

Recite: I forgive myself. I forgive myself. I forgive myself.

You may start to experience various thoughts, emotions, and images from your past. It is okay. Allow them to flow in. Now, visualize each thought as a little cloudy bubble floating away from you. When the bubbles hit the ceiling, they transmute into golden orbs of light and float back down over you creating a field of light around you. This golden light represents your uplifted energy!

Continue to recite the forgiveness mantra. Once you feel like you are at a good resting spot, declare: And so it is! You can practice this Forgiveness Mantra & Visualization as much as you need to.
